From the city centre to the areas of the Atlantic Seaboard there are no visible borders. They are all closely huddled together and require minimum travel from one to the next.

Its starts with the famous V&A Waterfront hosting primarily luxury hotels, countless restaurants along the waterfront quays wrapped in an amazing atmosphere and maximized by views of the tranquil harbour and flat top Table Mountain.

Against the V&A Waterfront are vibrant locations such as Sea Point featuring the Cape Town world cup soccer stadium, Green point, Mouille Point and Bantry Bay. Exiting this area you will be 10 minutes drive outside the city centre and entering Clifton, a yuppy beach area with white sandy coves always packed with sun worshipers during summer.

Moments from up-market Clifton is affluent Camps Bay sporting spectacular beaches and an up-beat vibe with lots of sea-side restaurants and a few night-time venues.

From here the road meanders further along the mountain with unsurpassed ocean views to the one side and majestic mountain peaks rising to the other, passing The Twelve Apostles in Bakoven clinging to the mountain slope, one of the best 5 star hotels in Cape Town for unsurpassed ocean views.

Next up is Llandudno, a quiet, upmarket residential area sporting nudist beaches and finally Hout Bay, a picturesque town set amid the rising peaks of the mountain, an approximate 20 minutes outside the city. Even of you don't stay here a scenic drive to Hout Bay for a seafood dish at the Wharf or Lookout Deck with its supreme bay views is advised.

Forty km in an opposite northerly direction from the city the picturesque Cape Winelands with vineyards flowing in perfect rows through mountain valleys reveal itself. It includes towns like historic Franschoek where the French were the original settlers 300 years ago, Stellenbosch and the Paarl Valley. Be sure to at least make a day-trip for cheese and wine tasting and a delectable meal at one of many wine estates.
